They are found on shallow reefs mainly around Omans Hallaniyat islands but occasionally can be found cruising the mainland coastline in search of easy prey.
Dhofar Parrrot Fish - A uniquely Omani fish found only in the Dhofar region. With electric green, blue, and red colors these fish can be picky eaters and extremely skittish making for a tough catch on a fly. Generally, they are found around rocky outcrops and coral reefs, often feeding in similar areas as the Africanus Permit.
